A small bureau is compressed by gravity and seems to be collapsing into the floorboards in this combination of domestic furniture and a cosmic event.

All parts of the sculpture are fabricated from hardwood a computer generated pattern created from a sketchup model. The drawers are made from boxwood and basswood, alternated for color. And the central cylinder is made of tongue and groove hickory in a manner similar to old-fashioned flooring.
